Album Launch Party a huge success

The album launch party was a huge success at the excellent Kashmir Klub.
Mat and Tash would like to thank Carl and Kirsty for their superb playing and talent, and the lovely people at the Kashmir Klub for making it such a memorable evening!!

The Klub was packed, and sweltering, which made for a great atmosphere. Lots of albums were sold, which made Mat and Tash very happy. Thanks to everyone who came along, and especially those who bought an album.

Mat Roberts second album completed.

Finally, after a year and a half and about 30 songs that were recorded and then thrown out, Mat's second album "Counting on a Second" is finally completed.

The first track on the album, "Emerald City" was the first song recorded and was produced, mixed and engineered by Graeme Stewart who works with Radiohead, Brian Adams and the Pet Shop Boys to name(drop!!) a few!! He is currently working with Johnny Greenwood (Radiohead) on a film soundtrack and will be starting work with Radiohead on their next album soon.

The rest of the album was recorded in our bedroom studio and was produced, mixed and engineered by Mat, with help from Tash.

In our opinion, the highlight of "Counting on a Second" is a song called "Rachel" which was written in 1999 and has always been a favourite. "Rachel" was included pretty much at the last minute as Tash really thought it deserved to be put on an album. It is her favourite Mat Roberts song, and is always a pleasure to listen to, and an excitement to play live.

We are very excited and relieved that our album is out, and hope that you enjoy it. Following up "The Soundtrack to our Lives" was tough as it has so many strong songs on it, but we hope you enjoy the material and the slightly matured sound.

Our aim is to release as many albums as possible and hope that lots of people get the chance to hear our music. Feel free to tell us what you think by sending us an e-mail to matroberts@matroberts.com or by visiting the "contact" page of this Web Site. Look forward to hearing from you.

(More info about Mat and Tash can be found on their own pages).
