 Tash has been playing the drums since she was 12 and feels privileged that she is earning her living from her passion. She took lessons with a top drum teacher in France who totally inspired her and got her playing along to Toto records from the age of 13!! Jeff Porcaro is still her favourite drummer.
In 1999 she was asked to join girl band Hepburn (signed to Columbia) and was finally able to leave her horrendous day job and become a professional musician. She had been taking lessons with Bob Armstrong (also taught Steve White (Paul Weller), Alan White (Oasis), Guy Richman (Boyzone and BBMak), and Andy Gangadeen (Spice Girls), and had been working very hard to get her playing up to a professional
level.
Hepburn was an amazing experience. Some of the highlights were: filming a music video on the
'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' set in LA (with Sarah Michelle Geller appearing in the video), playing live on TOTP and TFI Friday, appearing countless times on CD/UK, doing the Smash Hits tour with acts such as Westlife, and generally getting paid to have a good time!! Hepburn did a summer University tour in 2000, and Mat was the musical director – surprisingly, he didn’t seem to complain too much about having to tour with four
girls!!!
Since then Tash has done some session work with Enya and Andrea Bocelli. She went to the Monte Carlo World Music awards with Enya in 2001 which was amazing and appeared on Parkinson with Andrea Bocelli which made her mum very happy as she lives in the same village as Parky!!
Aside from her love for the drums, Tash is a massive Liverpool Football Club fan and thoroughly enjoys watching football (of course, all the sexy men running around in shorts helps…….). Patrik Berger, David Beckham and Micheal Owen top the list!!!

Tash is much more into melody than lyrics. |
